i have my pc hooked up to my lcd hd tv. and i have it connected through an audio cable. but when i play music or something. you dont get sound coming from both sides. how can i fix this?

Look at the plug and see how many rings it has. If it has one, its mono. If theres 2 rings, its stereo.
