Logticeh G51 vs Z-5300e

Both of these speakers are around the same price point. Wondering if anyone has any info on which may be better or are they just made for different reasons? ie: gaming/music?

Thanks!!!

I've owned the Z-5300e for a year or longer. They are great for gaming and music. They have more power than the G51 but the G51 are newer. I'm very happy with the 5300e and I think you should get those.

The only problem is that I had is with the rear speakers. The cord is not long enough to have them in the rear. I had to get extensions so I could place them in the rear. After that I've never looked back.

Do you think I would need a really good (expensive) sound card to make these sound great? Ultimately I would like to have a sound system that can play Dolby Digital. I think I remember reading somewhere that you need to purchase a digital converter to get true dolby digital.

So I guess the question is. Can I buy a cheaper sound card and spend more money on a digital converter? Maybe I'm way off...wouldn't be the first time.

The way they connect to my pc is basically in an analog way (green, black, beige cable). I have a Creative Lab Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS they are Dolby and THX certify:

They have provided my with great sound over the years. Most MoBo with their integrated sound cards have very good sound. When I play games on my PC I'm able to tell if there is someone behind me or an explosion from far off so I've never upgraded. The new X-Fi say that they are much better but I it's hard to really distinguish the difference in sound quality. I would say get an older card like mine but maybe you should ask someone who recently upgraded to those X-Fi cards.
