Please advise :P

Hi guys,

I'm having a problem with one of my speakers. I noticed that the left one wasn't working when I was listening to Jimi and the guitar solo faded out instead of fading to the left side haha.

Anyway, I know it isn't a problem with the left speaker itself cos when I fiddled with the wire on the back of the right one the left one flickered on and off. But then it stopped working altogether. Is there any way I could do a circuit check on the wire to isolate the spot that I should rewire?

Thanks chaps,

Vic

Don't worry guys, I was looking at the wire and I thought I knew where the problem was but I wasn't brave enough to try and fix it myself, anyway my dad's electrician friend came over last night and so I thought if I mess up I could ask him for help.

So I cut out the suspicious section and stripped the wires and when he asked me what I was doing I showed him and he tried to help me so I just sat quietly and observed but I already had a plan in my head so when he left I undid everything he did and put them back together my way, some electrician... he connected the wires all wrong. I've always suspected he was phoney cos his hair sticks up on end hehehe.

Anyway when I'd put it back together I plugged the speakers in, connected them to my guitar's amp to test them and oh man.. the sweet sound of hearing it through both speakers. lol

Anyway thanks guys

Vic
