microphone doesent work after rebooting comp

Hi!

i got a problem with my microhpone, it doesent coming out any sound from it. i think it is that i doesent got the right drivers for it but i dont know where to download them. got a fujitsu siemens media center computer.

please help!

You don't need drivers for a microphone. Check to see if it's muted, xp always mutes mine upon reboot.

yeah i have checked that and its not muted, dont you need drivers for the sound card?

Yes for the sound card. I thought you were saying that you needed it for the microphone. And if you don't have the correct driver for the sound card, all sound won't work on the computer, not just the microphone.
