Problem reinstalling the sound card

I installed an E-MU 1212m sound card a couple of months ago. Everything used to work fine.
Then after I moved to my new flat, I notice some very annoying crackles on the audio output. I uninstall the drivers, download the latest firmware and reboot. On restart Windows detects the hardware but when I launch the firmware setup it says it can't find any compatible device on the system.
What's going on?

Well i think you should download the same drivers not the latest one ....

i think u was not installing compatible drivers towards ur sound card........ try with ur compatible drivers.
