question about sound

i dont know how to explain this. but i have a little double adapter thing in the back of my computer so that i can plug my speakers in as well as a stereo.

so i have more speakers basically.

my question is, could i have an unlimited amount of speakers connected if i had enough adapters? or would the sound get weak or something?

thanks

It depends how it's wired and all. I assume what you have is a basic RCA (red and white plugs) connection? It's probably a standard pre-amp connection which requires some sort of amplifier. From there, it really depends on your amp. It is possible to connect more than one speaker to each channel(say two on the left and two on the right) but it's not really "correct". I forget exactly how it works, but I'm thinking when you connect two speakers you basically add their ohms together. Most amps aren't not made to handle this, but it would work...

i use an RCA cable to connect my stereo and the normal 3.5mm jack for my speakers. they both plug into the adapter

Hi friend I am also agree with The_Other_One that you should have a RCA connection first and also you requires a correct type of wiring and correct technique to make a connection. If your speaker amplifier works good then your sound must not effected by the more connections.. so keep in mind that all this will of course happens..
