WTF why dont i have sound?

I lent my computer to my sister and since i got it back there is no sound.

I checked the volume settings, they are maxed.

When i check device driver there is no error, wtf is going on?

I have the msi 915pm neo v motherboard, its onboard sound.

ask her what she did first and if she doesn't know try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for your sound

1. Ensure that Windows sound is not "muted"

2. Check to see if speakers are turned "on" and volume is up

3. Make sure your speaker wire wasnt disconnected from your sound card/PC

4. Reboot your PC ?

5. long shot...could the speakers have gone bad? {blown out etc}

This is by no means to insult your intelligence sometimes its jsut easy to start with the basics

best of luck!
