My friend has a windows xp home edition (laptop) but has no sound coming out of it or from the headphones, when you go into volume control it displays this message



"There are no active mixer devices avalible, to install mixer devices go to control panel, click printers and other hardwere and then click add hardwere, this program will now close"



Anyone have any ideas
