5.1 speaker system not working

Hi guys, I had a problem with my creative speaker system and I purchased a creative SoundBlaster today plus I have download all the updates for vista. When I test the 5.1 speaker system in the control panel it works fine all 5 works in the test but when I do anything like play music or games only 2 work. I know I am doing something stupid. Maybe someone with a bit more Vista knowledge can help me. Thanks

your sure it is a 5.1 sound you are playing. you can use audicity to record 5 speaker sounds see if it is 5 speeker

Yea it’s an SBS580 speaker system 5.1 and a creative blaster audigy SE. All speakers run fine while running the config test but will not work with music game etc. only two work when running these.
