Is this possible?

So I have Itunes on my laptop and I have a desktop in my room, is it possible to take my audio output and send it to the desktop speakers? Basically what I want to accomplish is the effect of connecting a wire from sound out on the laptop to line in on the desktop but over a wireless network? So is there any way?

ok, I think I understand what you want to do. First, you need to make a home network on your wireless network(if you don't have one already), and make the folder on itunes a shared folder so that everyone on the network can get it, that's how I have mine setup.

yes, i already have this setup, i guess this is a strange issue. Basically i want two computers to share one set of speakers over a wireless network.

iTunes has a music share feature that you can enable in your preferences that allows you to stream music from other computers on your network.

Sorry about such a late answer but it's in your Preference menu, i think.... under the network/streaming options.........

Edit > Preferences > Sharing > Check the 'Look for shared music' and 'Share my music' options.....
