something is wrong....


ok so i got some philips mms640 5.1 system. it sound great but the sound id mainlt just coming out of the sub and center speaker. i have it hooked up right and the settings on the pc are on 5.1. any idea what could be wrong???

You've probably already tried this. But if you havent then go to Start-->all programs-->Accessories--> Entertainment--> volume control and mess around with the balance of he speakers.

Thats provided you run xp. If you have a different OS then it should be fairly similar

Also make sure that you have your sound card configured for a surround sound speaker set-up.

Did you have a CD that came with the speakers? For drivers and whatnot.

PS: Is this a pre-built computer you are working with? I.E. Name brand, HP, Dell etc etc.

what kind of sound card are you using?(onboard or pci)
