External Sound Card Problem, pls help oO

I just got a Zalman 5.1 External sound card. When I try to play music through it I get a constant static type noise thats very crackly throughout all of it. All of my connections are fine, I've reinstalled drivers, and done countless restarts/reconnecting. Also when I'm listening to music the strength will vary and will bounce from speaker to speaker as if it were doing a speaker testing.



There have been times where I have had it working perfectly for 10 mins or so but it would stop working and go back to being static and crackles.



Any ideas?

You're connections may look fine, but some of the inputs may be bad. I've had the same problems with my sound card inputs. That's the only thing I can think of at the moment.
