Radio coming out of Speakers

It was my brother抯 birthday yesterday and one of his presents was the Logitech X-530 Speakers 5.1 system. Which are very good.

However he was sitting there today with no music or anything playing and he thought he could hear French voices ! (No he hadn't lost it completely ), on closer inspection we found that when the speakers are on and set to either approx 0-3% or 97-100% volume a fairly audible radio noise is produced, this is completely new and was never there with his old speakers so I am assuming its just these ones aren抰 quite shielded enough,

Anyone seen or heard this sort of thing happening before?

And anyone have any tips on how to eliminate this interference?

oh right, he said he has also heard English voices so must just be atmospheric conditions that cause him pick up French freq. oh well looks like it might just be EMI shielding thing with this sound system, lol
