K, i've never bought a sound card in my life, software has always been fine. I've only ever used the AC 97 audio program and i've never had any problems with it. But, now i have a new system that runs with the "SoundMAX" audio software, and i'll be frank,...it sucks. All of the sounds i hear in the game FEAR are incomplete - except music.
I can hear my brass casings hit the ground when i shoot, (which sounds great!), but can barly hear the gun shoot, like the sound file gets cut off in mid swing. Or sounds the are right next to me are projected as if their fifty or more feet away.
How can i fix this problem?
