I would go with the soundblaster it still is a great card and is cheaper then the other one and should produce good sound quality.

dont get the diamond it doesnt have a DSP

if you could spend a little more go for the Audigy 4 or Audgigy2 ZS (the audigy4 being better tho)

go for it, it'll be years before you need an upgrade, and when you get a new computer you can just throw that in there and you'll still have amazing flawless audio... with great drivers.
haha soundblaster is definitely the way to go, if buying a sound card though. they know how to produce a quality sound card for whatever amount of money you pay for it.
