having two cards wouldn't give you a 14.1 experience but just 2 different 7.1 experiences

If your wondering if you can take two 2.1 sound cards and make 4.1 then no. If your wonding if you can take two 2.1 sound cards and just double the sound output then Im also pritty sure thats a no also. Windows only allows one sound output devise as far as I know. If you are wanting to double the sound output, then buy a splitter type thing. If your wanting to use one sound card to listen to music while the other sound card is putting out sounds to a game. This might be possible. You would have to configure the game to run off one card. And configure the music player to run off the other card. (example: windows media player. file/help/whateveritis>options>output devise>ect.)
