Hey, I've got a broadband wireless card slipped into my laptop right now (the laptop has a built in wireless card). What I'm wanting to do is set up an adhoc network so that I can use the internet connection from my laptop, on my desktop. Right now I'm as far as having the adhoc network setup, but I cannot receive internet on my desktop. Both the laptop and the desktop show that they are connected to eachother, the laptop being connected to the internet and the desktop. The laptop is using Vista Home Premium, and the desktop is using XP Pro SP2. When I setup the network, a message popped up on my laptop stating that the two were using the same IP address, which may cause a problem. Is that what is causing my desktop to not be able to get internet? If so, how do I resolve it?
