Ive just been thinking. Im trying to work out why i have some backlog on my network. I have a connection onto the internet via ADSL. I have my network of aproxx 50 hosts that connect to the internet via the process below : Computer --> horizontal cable ---> core switch ----> Firebox firewall ----> Cisco Router. witch has 2 costs a cost of 1 for ADSL and a cost of 100 for a 10mb SHDS to our site about 5 mins drive down the road with a ADSL conneciton there. My question is this. What is the lagg this could be causing to High QOS traffic ? as it is haveing to work out the cost and then the DNS for the SHDS. ive been doing a bit of research into this and cant find much on the the lentcy this could be casuseing. And before you say its going to be milly 's as the milly seconds count in the process that im trying to work on.
