New router = slower internet

hello i bought a new router because my old one kept crashing.



this is what i bought netgear DG834PN

and this is what i use to have

zoom ADSL 5590



which i thought would be a far better router, it has stopped the router crashing but it seems slower, and i dont know why also it keeps signing me out of the PS3 network!



i have demon home 8000 internet provider which is 8Mbps



Please help if you have any ideas

Could be that the router is still ajusting to the line noise. Took mine 4 days continual on to get to the 4db gain that i wanted. if you look in the status it is probbly at some thing stupid like a 16db line gain. should settle in a few days in not could be the NTU setting

ok it culd be, how do i check the db gain, and the NTU settings, thanks
