Power surge on usb message?


I just bought D-Link DFB-A5 and whenever I stick something in the usb I get that message...It does work though. Any ideas?

That often happens if there is a mis-wire of the USB headers. Are you using the USB ports on the front of your case?

then when you click the message it asks you to reset, yeah i get those too with my PC (front USB) , i dunno why it happens... i ignore it sometimes but i need a fix

It's usually because the ground is not connected properly, or even the negative and positive cables are installed in the wrong direction.



DO NOT use flash drives if thats the case, as it will destroy the drive. Yes it's happened to me before.

lol, i know, do you remember my samsung YP-U2 player ?

well it was killed by that surge , i will open it later to fix the +'s and -'s
