Have you installed SP3 yet to check it out, I noticed its 110mbs bigger than SP2.

One question. Isn't RC a beta getting ready for a release?

I don't have XP so I can't try it out, although I'm going to slipstream it into my XP SP 2 install CD and see if that works, because I don't have XP drivers for the RAID array.

110MB seems right, since SP3 includes all the fixes included in SP2, plus all the ones that came out since then.

Yes, it's a release candidate. It's not the final version, although it most likely will be.

EDIT: What I'm not sure about though, is that Vista SP1 for the 32-Bit OS is only 436MB, but the 64 bit version is 733MB...

Yeap including the updates and fixes since SP2 at a 110mbs doesnt leave much. I heard to start with SP3 was suppost to have the side bar better firewall and some other stuff that got pulled. I think it funny that microsoft got itself in a situation where there competing with itself XP vs. Vista

Well, here are a few benchmarks. The first one is before, and the second one is after.

I'm not sure about anyone else who has tried this, but I've had a few issues after installing the SP. The only one i've noticed so far is that a lot of processes are failing and causing errors, which also causes issues with networking.

That scares me. I'm going to wait until the final release comes out, I really don't want issues. I really do like how performance has increased though, it makes me feel better about Vista being worth getting.
