What software do you use to run Windows on your Mac?

Hello!

I need some advices about software that runs Windows on Mac. I have some uncertainty about which piece of software to purchase.

What are advantages and disadvantages of each of this piece of software?

i voted Fusion, parallels is good but vmware kills it and besides Fusion automatically installs everything during the windows setup for you.
but then again it really depends on your needs. but if i were u i'd prefer to virtualize rather than dual booting

I agree VMware Fusion is one of the better products out there. I used parallels for a while but hate their pay for upgrades, better off just buying VMware fusion.

I've never used an Apple Computer, but I've always liked the idea of Boot Camp. Why is running Windows in a virtual environment better than a seperate partition? Is Windows installed on a seperate partition when using Boot Camp?

You don't have to reboot, and a VM boots in like 10 seconds or less.

You can also get crossover for an intel mac. This allows you to run a lot of windows apps without the need for a windows OS license.

I don't need Windows on my Mac so I don't use any software

The only MAC I have... (fine.. 2 )

One can run 98... and the other one would have a hard time running 95...

Why do you hate it? I think there is something you should pay for...

For example, take a look at their new offer (Parallels Premium) You can get 3 useful additional software in one package with basic software. And I think it's quite cheap. As far as I know, just one Kaspersky costs about $80...

I don't use Parallels for a while yet. I just try to understand the advantages and disadvantages of each software to make a right choice... Parallels crew makes a nice offer that is definitely gives them advantage...

I just don't like how they sell their product. I mean they had a pay for beta. I understand they want to make money, but with VMware Fusion, I pay a one time fee and get all the updates I want, and they update older versions. I can't use parallels on my Leopard install because my version isn't supported. I have to pay 35 dollars to upgrade, or I can just buy VMware fusion, which is a better product IMO.

i love parallels. however, it does not compleatly work on my windows comp. everything but linux runs fine but linux still has a bug so i am waiting for a update to come out. i tried vmware but i hate it, it speeds up at times and if i press t or something it will write 3 t's
