Computer crashes while running 3DMark06

So I just got another BFG Tech 8800 GT OC card today as an early Christmas gift and put it in my system and enabled SLI - I OC'ed the CPU to 3.3 GHz, the GPU core to 709 MHz, and the GPU memory to 1000 MHz - Running the system works great (I average about 45 FPS on Crysis at 1680 x 1050 resolution with 8X anti-aliasing with everything on High!) For some reason though, when I run 3DMark06, it either BSODs on the second CPU test or errors out with a 3DMark06 has encountered an error and has shut down - I'm thinking maybe the CPU's getting too hot? I'm content enough that I'm able to run Crysis very well with the setup, just wondering why 3DMark06 crashes. Any input will be greatly appreciated!

judging from your ability to oc your rig you will also be able to check the temps on your cpu. Get everest, speedfan or something and run a cpu stress program like orthos and check if it gets to hot.



i mainly use everest, can stress memory, cpu and hd and monitors my temps

alright, got it fixed - got 12,936 3dmarks with my setup!
