My friends Dell laptop charger will not charge batt. Even when I take the batt out It will not supply power to laptop. Charger does show the green light could it be the laptop it self? Need help ASAP

is the cord damaged? Does it plug in properly, or is the port damaged? The green light is on, so you can assume the cord up to there is good... This is the original cord?

Does not look damage but the inside of the connector may be damage. Yes its the original one. I should be able to use a meter to test current?

the battery has nothing to do with it if the power adapter is plugged into the laptop

yes it does, some laptops only give power to the comp if the battery is pluged in...
if you have a volt meter i would check it the power adapter is putting out any volts
