My laptop fUped help..

For some reason i can't get my laptop to window... It has a really loud fan noise everytime i turn it on and it continues as it loads while the XP logo is loading but it will never goes beyond that point. Help please

Download and burn to a CD Ubuntu 7.10 and run the memory testing application for a few hundred precent then report back here with the results first, just in case there is a memory problem. Then we'll try booting Ubuntu on the live CD without installing it.

wait i am using win xp though

it doesnt matter. when you boot from CD, you bypass windows.
