Laptop cuts off

A friend of mines have a Toshiba laptop & he says it cuts off in about an hour after using even if it is plug into the outlet. I wish I had more info but I haven't got to the computer yet, any ideas what it maybe. I just need some input once I get it.

It's possible that it's overheating. If his computer supports it, tell him to download SpeedFan or Everest and report back what the temps are for the components.

I would check the system fans and make sure its not over heating. It is possable that the cpu is over heating causeing the system to shut down. Does the laptop come right back on after it turns off? or do you have to wait a while?

It dosen't come right back on once it shut off, but I notice that it will come right back on and stay on after I have remove that battery.
