toshiba notebook power issue

Hey,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S2141. Yesterday it started having power issues. I have the AC adapter plugged in and have no power other than from the battery. The problem doesn't seem to be in the original AC adapter. I just bought a new one and it let me have 4 hours of power before it no longer gives any power. Any suggestions of what my next step to fixing this should be?

Thanks!

Sounds like the pins may be loose inside the pc on the mobo. Sometimes after a lot of plugging and unplugging a laptop these can come unsoddered. If thats the case you are due for a repair....

I checked and the pins on the motherboard seem firmly in place. I also took my power supply and got its voltage output tested. It was where it should be.

Someone also suggested it could be an overheating issue and I should purchase a laptop stand to allow more airflow. I bought one and this also does not seem to fix this problem. What else should I try? I guess if nothing else this laptop is about as disposable as a laptop could be, but I'd rather just fix it.

Thanks!
