Umm.. How do you know if your computer has DX 10?

Do you have to have a certain graphics card or what..

yes its built in but to take advantage of it you need a graphics card that will work with dx10 something like the 8800gt,

This is not a thread hijack, but does nVidia GeForce GO 7400 use DX 10? I'm asking because my laptop has this GPU. Can you recommend a better card?

Any of the nVidia 8000, ATi 2000 & 3000 cards can run DX10, the ATi 3000 cards can run DX10.1.

The new 8 series cards like the GT and the new GTS can also run DX 10.1

Any video card in combination with Vista will support DirectX10 at the software level, however only the nVidia 8 series, ATI 3X series, and whatever Intel is offering fully supports DX10.
